Play Learn & Explore daycare holds proper nutrition and balanced meals in high regard.  Our little people are busy and need to fuel their small bodies with healthy food.

Every meal and snack your child receives will follow Canada's Food Guide suggestions and be, for a large majority, made from scratch to eliminate unecessary additives and preservatives found in convenience and pre-packaged meals.

A lot of the homemade recipes come from Jessica Seinfeld's cookbook titled, Deceptively Delicious.  The genius behind the recipes is that you can sneak veggies and fruit into kid's favourites like muffins, pizza, and macaroni and have them asking for seconds!

We recognize that there are many food allergies out there, and when we meet we can discuss how to properly address your child's individual needs.  Please note that because the kitchen used to make the children's food is also where the family meals are made, I cannot provide a peanut free/safe environment.

As a former vegetarian, I have hundreds of recipes and healthy meat alternative products that can be used to accommodate your vegetarian child.  I will be unable to provide a completly vegan menu, but would be willing to prepare any meals you wish to purchase and provide for your child.
